St Anne's Primary School Seaford

We at St Anne’s have a strong tradition in educating children since 1968 when the St Anne’s Parish Primary School was opened in the beachside suburb of Seaford by the Faithful Companions of Jesus.

The school has grown from one classroom for Years 2 and 3 students to a school from Prep to Year 6. Prior to the opening of St Joachim’s school in Carrum Downs the school had over 460 students. The school has undergone three major renovations, the last being in 2009.

St. Anne’s has approximately 137 students divided into 7 composite classes. St Anne’s Primary School is one of two primary schools in the parish community of Seaford. A close relationship exists with St Joachim’s, our partner parish primary school.

St Anne’s is situated on the same property as St Anne’s church and parish house and is placed in a spacious garden setting. Our aim is to keep the class sizes as low as possible to maximize learning, instruction time and student potential. The classrooms are bright, large and well resourced. The playgrounds are extensive, featuring two well-maintained Adventure Playgrounds, a large grassed area, and netball and basketball courts.

St Anne’s School is committed to educating the whole child, within a comprehensive and relevant curriculum. We are aware of this ever-changing world, and always strive to give our students the best possible access to skills that will assist them in the future. There is a strong emphasis placed on the core disciplines of numeracy and literacy, while developing students’ self-confidence and self-esteem through the arts.

Over recent years we have fostered a close relationship with St. Joachim’s's, our partner Parish Primary school. It is at St. Anne's Church that we gather in faith to celebrate significant occasions such as the Sacrament of Confirmation, Reconciliation and Eucharist. A parish is one of God's ways of coming into contact with his people. The community is there to help and support one another. The Sacraments allow God to speak to us at key moments of our life. Mass is offered to sustain us through the ups and downs of everyday life.
